Lauren Child, I Am Not Sleepy and I Will Not Go to Bed

Page history last edited by Lisa Gordis 16 years, 9 months ago

Bibliographical information:

Child, Lauren. I Am Not Sleepy and I Will Not Go to Bed. London: Orchard Books, 2001.

Child, Lauren. I Am Not Sleepy and I Will Not Go to Bed. Cambridge, Massachusetts: Candlewick Press, 2001.

Brief summary:

Charlie is trying to put his sister Lola to bed. She isn't sleepy (and won't be, she insists, even at thirteen o'clock). Moreover, all sorts of imaginary companions stand between her and bedtime.

Comments:

This is an entertaining take on bedtime, though it's not quite as much fun as I Will Never Not Ever Eat a Tomato.

Grade/Age level:

Ages 4-7

Cautions:

If you have a child who likes pink things, Lola's pink milk may send you scrambling.
