Brief summary:

Using paper cutouts, Seeger shows transformations "First the EGG, then the CHICKEN," ultimately cycling back to the egg again.

 

Comments:

The illustrations are richly colored, and the cutouts work beautifully. Though this is a picture book with few words, it delighted both my five-year-old and my artistically-inclined ten-year-old.

Ages 2-6
