Brief summary:

When Daniel and his older sister Beatrice are sent to live with their parents' friend, Dr. Ernest Drake, they have no idea that their host also keeps and studies dragons.  They join Dr. Drake's classes in dragonology and eventually help stop the evil Ignatius Crook from obtaining the Dragon's Eye, a gem able to make its owner the Dragon Master.

 This is the first book of a the Dragonology Chronicles, a narrative series designed to accompany the large pop-up book Dragonology.

Cautions:

 Some kids might not like Dr. Drake's treatment of Daniel, who gets left out of adventures as punishment for his curiosity.
