Bibliographical information:
Balliett, Blue. The Wright 3. New York: Scholastic, 2006.
Sequel to Chasing Vermeer
Brief summary:
Petra Andalee and Calder Pillay are back (along with a new set of pentominoes). Calder's friend Tommy Segovia has returned to Chicago as well, and as the novel opens, Calder is renegotiating his friendships with Petra and Tommy, who aren't hitting it off so well. Their shifting relationships play out as Ms. Hussey's class tackles another project, an attempt to prevent Frank Lloyd Wright's Robie House from being disassembled and moved to a museum.
Comments:
Like Chasing Vermeer, The Wright 3 includes mysteries, codes, and hidden pictures. Readers will be engaged both by the mystery and by the process by which Tommy and Petra work their way into friendship.
